01 Dunrobin
Situated in Sutherland this castle which resembles a French chateau has been home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland since the 1300’s and has also been used as a naval hospital and a boarding school. There are falconry displays in the beautiful gardens that overlook the Moray Firth.
This castle is Scotlands largest private residence and a visit here is a must to appreciate the grandeur of this beautiful building.
02 Falls of Shin
One of the best places in Scotland to see salmon leaping. The falls and visitor centre are within an hour of Inverness and half an hour from your cruise ship via Millionaires View.
Salmon leaping back to their spawning grounds, forest paths and woodland trails to explore in this beautiful part of Sutherland.
03 Millionaires View
This popular viewpoint so called because the view is priceless is situated “over the Struie” which is the old drovers route between the Cromarty and Dornoch firths.
From here one can see the Kyles of Sutherland and the Dornoch Firth with the statue of the First Duke of Sutherland on top of Ben Bhraggie.
